Catherine Ford is a British actress, born in Bloomsbury. When her father left her family, she was grew to maturity by her mother, godparents, and grandmother. Ford was suffering from anxiety disorder based on words as a young toddler. Ford was fascinated by acting during her teens, and enrolled in the National Youth Theatre. The school she was accepted to was Sylvia Young Theatre School. After a couple of days, she realized that Sylvia Young Theatre School was not the right place right for her. Ford made an application for admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama and finally won the position she wanted on her third attempt. A classmate of hers included Shaun Dingwall, who would later have a recurring role as Pete Tyler in Doctor Who. Ford earned her bachelor's degree in 1993. However, prior to that, Ford made a television debut, appearing in Surgical Spirit in an episode that aired in 1991. Ford took the professional title of Catherine Tate. Tate made her television debut in the year 1991, appearing on shows like The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. Tate also regularly worked as a theatre actor and was eventually a part of the Royal Shakespeare Company during its season 2000-2001. Tate's stand-up comedy style and humour, which she added to her set in the year 1996, was soon gaining her attention.
